On the 27th of November META project was presented in the International meeting “From body awareness to creativity: a journey to inclusion” in Rome, to a public of more than 70 teachers coming from all over Italy and 15 European countries.
The meeting was conceived as in service training for teachers, involved a representation of secondary school students and was promoted by the Association of Italian Schools Abroad and OTIS Network, which mainstreams theatre-based didactic. The objective of the seminar was to affirm arts and body/emotional intelligence as creative tools for an inclusive and accessible School System, that strives for freedom of expression and self development. Maria Rosaria Lo Monaco, coordinator of the activity and president of SCIE, highlighted how art-based didactic can contribute to develop key competences for EU citizens of the 21st century.
